Uses of Hemp

The eco-friendly company, Earth Easy, claims that prior to the 1930s, eighty percent of American clothing was made from hemp. Hemp’s history dates back 10,000 years, when it was used for its fibres. So it’s a wonder that it isn’t a commonly-used fabric today, especially because of it’s versatile and sustainable nature. 

Although cotton is a crop that takes a significant toll on the environment, it is still monopolizing the apparel industry. It’s time for hemp to make a comeback. The benefits that hemp fabrics have to offer, could transform the apparel industry.
