A state delegate in Virginia recognizes the Uses of Hemp and advocates for legalization of industrial hemp farming.
Delegate Matt Fariss sees how hemp legalization in Virginia would be a huge benefit for farmers. He says there are growers looking for new crops to cultivate, and that hemp is a valuable product for the state. Unlike marijuana, hemp is a completely beneficial crop with no negative aspects to it. It is purely industrial. 
Hemp products are a legal commodity in the states, and the list of products made from hemp is extensive, in the thousands – everything from paper to food and nutritional products to construction materials – but the material has to be imported from other countries, mostly Canada and China.
