Batteries and super capacitors may soon be added to the long list of Uses of Hemp. In Potsdam, New York, a new company received a state grant to open a manufacturing plant that will use hemp to create these products.
The company’s goal is to develop carbon nanosheets that will be cheaper to produce than graphene, the material commonly used in batteries.
The company expects that this new product will find a place in the global market, as the demand for renewable energy increases.
