The long list of the many Uses of Hemp is becoming more familiar to the general public, but who would have guessed that one day we might be adding airplanes to the list!
A Canadian hemp-enthusiast, Derek Kesek, is building a four-seater plane made of at least 75% hemp, with a hemp-based bio-fuel system. If goes well, the hemp plane will take flight for the first time before next summer, and Kesek has chosen Kitty Hawk, N.C., (where the Wright Brothers’ made history), for its launch.
Kesey is the founder of Hempearth, a company that develops hemp products for mass-production.
