Bellingham resident and hemp advocate, Pam Bosch, recognizes the many benefits and Uses of Hemp and would like to see more industrial hemp in the future of the United States.
Bosch is well aware of the bad name hemp gets due to it’s close cousin, marijuana, but she also knows that hemp doesn’t get people high like marijuana does. She’s also aware of the benefits of building with hemp – it’s a safe material to work with and it’s highly sustainable, unlike other construction materials.
She is currently looking to renovate her home using hemp. In her construction research she learned that it’s not easy to find building materials that are non-toxic and sustainable. Hemp-constructed buildings are well-insulated, mold-resistent, and fireproof, to name just a few of the benefits.
