With the goal to educate people about Hemp vs. Marijuana, a one-acre life-size maze is about to open in Chapel Hill, Tennessee. And it’s a maze like no other.
The director of Tennessee Hemp Industries Association, Colleen Keahey, explained that the maze is about an acre of hemp and it will serve the purpose of raising awareness about the differences between hemp and marijuana, as well as educating people about the many uses of hemp.
Keahey would like to see the maze broaden people’s understanding and perception of both hemp and marijuana, as there is still much confusion about the distinction between the two plants.
In the U.S., the 2014 Farm Bill made it legal to grow hemp for state-authorised pilot projects conducting research into hemp cultivation and its economic potential. The hemp maze is legal for this reason.
