Hemp vs. Marijuana – It’s not easy to differentiate between the two plants, but for legal reasons their differences are vital.
Because they look the same, it’s a real challenge for law enforcement. Forensic labs need to determine the THC levels, to decide whether the plant is marijuana or hemp.
With the legalization of hemp in 2018, forensic labs have had to come up with a way to test for THC. A lab in Douglas County, Nebraska, is the first in the state to be able to clarify which plant is which.
