Many lawmakers in the U.S. are looking to legalize marijuana, but what about industrial hemp? Although hemp is slowly being recognized across the states as a viable and beneficial plant, it remains illegal in most states. 
When we compare Hemp vs. Marijuana the major difference is that while marijuana is used for its psychoactive substance, industrial hemp has over 25,000 uses – but getting high is not one of them.
In addition to it’s many uses, hemp cultivation also has several environmental benefits such as removing toxins out of the soil and preventing pesticide pollution.
