In Canadian Hemp Politics, the federal government has legalised the harvest of hemp flowers, buds and leaves. Hemp growers are no longer limited to just the seeds, stalks and fibres of the crop.
This change in industrial hemp regulations was put into effect on August 10th by Health Canada. Prior to this, it was illegal to harvest the flowers, buds and leaves of hemp plants in Canada.
Whole plant harvest opens up opportunities for the production of CBD and other medicinal products.
This is a good boost for Canadians’ health and economy.
