The farm bill brings Hemp Politics to the Virgin Islands. The members of a Senate committee voted unanimously in favour of allowing hemp cultivation in the Virgin Islands territory.
Senator Janette Millin Young said she believes growing industrial hemp could boost the economy for the territory.The bill will include a process for farmers who want to grow industrial hemp with licensing from the Agriculture Department. The bill will allow the Agriculture Department and the University of the Virgin Islands to conduct research and studies of hemp and its production.Click here to read more.
