The Industry Ministry has set its sights on establishing Thailand as a hemp business centre, with a focus on medicinal hemp and tourism.
Industry Minister Suriya Jungrungreangkit said officials are putting together a financial plan for the development of a hemp business sector, which will be presented to the cabinet.
The Thai government recognizes the increasing popularity of hemp on a global scale, and wants to benefit from the economic potential of hemp, while increasing profits for their farmers.
