With the 2018 Farm Bill in the U.S., Hemp Politics have taking a positive turn. A Michigan farmer aims to cash in.
Hemp has many uses besides CBD, and one particular Michigan farmer recognized its potential. David Connor, of Paw Paw Hemp Company, and his business partner Joe Leduc of Leduc Blueberries, grew hemp for the first time this year. Being a blueberry farmer, Leduc appreciated the fast growing cycle of hemp, rather than having to wait up to five years for blueberry plants to produce.
Although hemp production for CBD is trending right now, Connor is looking to grow hemp for industrial purposes. He believes that the future of hemp will offer many industrial uses that will impact peoples everyday lives.
