Hemp politics are in the news again. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell says the new version of the federal farm bill will allow states that permit hemp production to participate in a pilot project to cultivate hemp in a limited capacity.
We think it’s great to see the potential comeback of hemp in Kentucky and other like-minded state governments. Kentucky was the only state to cultivate hemp during the Second World War, years after it had been abolished along with its cousin marijuana back in 1937.
