The Hemp Politics in the U.S. are evolving these days, and lawmakers in Indiana are the latest to have a win in the battle towards making CBD oil legal. On Tuesday, a vote to pass a bill for CBD oil legalisation was victorious, and will now move forward to the Senate.
The original Senate Bill for CBD oil recommended that CBD contain 0% THC, the psychoactive component in cannabis plants.
The vote on Tuesday was in favour of making several modifications to this bill. The modifications included a change to the legalised CBD level from 0% to 0.3%. According to the 2014 Farm Bill, this limited amount of THC refers to industrial hemp, and distinguishes it from marijuana.
