Idaho’s Hemp Politics have been brought up to speed and in line with the rest of the nation, with the legalisation of industrial hemp.
On Friday, April 16, 2021, Gov. Brad Little ratified legislation making hemp legal for production, transportation and sale in Idaho. Rep. Caroline Troy, R-Genesee co-sponsored the bill.
The new hemp laws aim to meet the needs of both law enforcement, who have concerns over hemp being a cover for illicit marijuana growers, and farmers and producers, who are interested in the versatile and profitable crop.
Idaho is the final state to legalise hemp, making this industrious crop legal throughout the U.S.
