The NHA brought Hemp Politics to the forefront of Biden’s Administration by demonstrating how hemp can help solve the climate crisis.
In response to the Biden-Harris National Climate Action Plan, The National Hemp Alliance (NHA), presented to the government, ways in which hemp can be utilized to combat climate change.
Part of this presentation has been to show the possibilities of hemp being a major natural resource for the U.S. and the future of green alternatives, not just for the U.S., but the world.
The Hemp Farming Act of 2018 legalised hemp as a legal commodity crop, giving back this profitable crop to American farmers after a ban that lasted over 85 years.
Hemp has thousands of uses, from auto parts and bio-plastics, to textiles, food, and nutraceuticals. It also eats up more than three times the CO2 emissions than any other plant on earth.
