Hemp politics continue today, with the importation of hemp seeds into the U.S. Hemp seeds travelling from Canada to Colorado were seized by federal authorities in North Dakota.
Hemp activist Tom McClain travelled to Manitoba to purchase 350 lbs of hemp seed, but the seeds were confiscated at the border in Hansboro, North Dakota.
North Dakota is one of 15 states that allows hemp production, but in order to import seeds, permission is needed from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
