In Hemp Politics this week, the Tasmanian government has placed hemp regulations at the top of the list of importance, with a goal to make hemp cultivation easier. 
New legislation that will support the growing of industrial hemp is underway, and will remove hemp from the Poisons Act.
So far, farmers have been granted licenses that allow just one year of hemp farming. This will now change to a five year license.
