In San Luis Obispo County, California, Hemp Politics have caused quite a stir. The county is reversing progress for hemp farmers, and they’re fighting back.
On May 5, The SLO County Board Supervisors passed a new hemp law, that stipulates strict requirements for growing locations in the area. The new law essentially puts a ban on growing hemp.
A coalition of hemp growers is suing the county to put a halt to this new bylaw. The coalition is not opposed to hemp regulations but these new restrictions are too extreme.
