Tasmanian MP Andrew Wilkie brings Hemp Politics into the news in Australia. He is continuing his efforts to encourage the government to allow industrial hemp in Australia, which could open up a prosperous market for farmers.
Although there is great potential for industrial hemp to be a very profitable crop, Australia is maintaining its restrictions against the industrial hemp market.
“There is no good reason why Australia is one of the very few countries in the developed world that does not allow the production and sale of industrial hemp for human consumption,” Mr Wilkie said.
