Delaware’s Hemp Politics have made excellent progress and the state is both hopeful and prepared for federal legalisation of industrial hemp.
On August 28th, Senate Bill 266 was signed, which paved the way for industrial hemp farming in the state of Delaware.
The 2014 Farm Bill made it legal for individual states to set up hemp pilot programs through state agriculture departments and universities, but for research purposes only. Now the federal government is considering removing all restrictions and barriers, making industrial hemp a legal crop nationwide.
Bill 266 puts everything in place, so that once the federal ban is lifted, Delaware is all set and ready to go!
