Croatia’s Social Democratic Party (SDP) is stirring up some Hemp Politics. SDP leaders Davor Bernardic and Mirela Holy have proposed the full legalization of industrial hemp. They say the crop would help the advancement of tourism and agriculture.
The SDP believes that by legalizing and controlling industrial hemp, the industry would give the economy a boost and provide new employment opportunities.
According to Holy, recent law changes implemented to combat drug abuse, have created restrictions for industrial hemp uses. He wants to see the liberation of hemp so that Croatia can reap all the benefits that hemp has to offer.
