Hemp is Colorado’s new cash crop, but due to Hemp Politics the seeds for this crop are hard to come by. Although hemp is legal in the Colorado, there are federal laws that complicate this new industry.
The Farm Bill that was introduced by Congress this year has certainly helped, but the federal prohibition on hemp still makes it impossible for hemp growers to obtain starter seeds from for their crops. It’s a “don’t-ask, don’t tell” situation for farmers.
Many farmers who grew hemp this year will use seeds from their 2014 crop to plant in 2015.

Isn’t it odd that Canadian growers can market Hemp Seed in Colorado health food stores but Colorado growers can’t?
