The United States put Hemp Politics to the fore in 2014, with the introduction of the Farm Bill. The problem is, the Farm Bill is up for renewal in 2019. This has those involved in the emerging hemp industry worried.
What will this mean to the industry? Some are saying that a complete and permanent protection for industrial hemp is a must, to ensure the continuation and growth of this exciting new industry.
While it is still classified as a schedule 1 drug along with marijuana, New York law makers are saying that it should be reclassified as an agricultural commodity rather than being included into this wide classification.
