Now that Australia has legalised hemp for human consumption, news is spreading about Hemp Nutrition and its many health benefits.
It’s important to know the difference between hemp and marijuana. Although they are related, they are very different plants. Hemp is not for smoking, it’s for sprinkling on salads and blending into smoothies, and it won’t get you high.
Hemp has almost no THC, (tetrahydrocannabinol, the primary psychoactive ingredient). Instead, it’s loaded with omega-3 and omega-6 essential fatty acids. It’s also high in protein and full of vitamins and minerals.
Hemp seeds have earned their “superfood” status.
