Putting Hemp in the News once again this week, Wisconsin banks are beginning to be more receptive to hemp-based customers.
As the legalities of the U.S. hemp industry become clearer, bankers are beginning to realize the opportunity in the thriving new industry.
A recent survey shows that almost half of the bankers in Wisconsin are now actively investigating new ways to help and get involved in this growing business.The same survey just two years ago had the interest at just over a third.
Scott Birrenkott, assistant director of legal for Wisconsin Bankers Association, said that’s a significant increase in the way banks are looking at the new hemp industry.
