In Wisconsin, the state Attorney General Brad Schimel has once again put Hemp in the News, by allowing farmers to grow industrial hemp for the purpose of producing CBD oil, as long as they are doing so in obeisance of new laws passed by the Wisconsin state legislature.
This has been agreed to, only after a meeting between state lawmakers, the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP).
Three things were agreed on: Wisconsin farmers can grow industrial hemp without legal repercussions, farmers can sell their crop to anyone, and they can also grow the plant for the purpose of producing CBD oil.
The agreement between the farmers and DOJ only apply to farmers strictly following the DATCP regulations and in compliance with the Farm Bill.
