Many countries are working towards establishing a more natural and environmentally-friendly economy. Hemp is one plant that can play a significant role and contribute greatly to the economy at the same time.
Hemp grower David Jordan has been cultivating hemp in north Waikato, New Zealand, since 2008. He recognizes that New Zealand’s hemp industry is way behind other countries but it doesn’t discourage him. He believes there is great opportunities for New Zealand to establish a flourishing hemp industry of its own.
Very few Kiwi farmers are interested in growing hemp. Jordan reasons that this is due to close-minded attitudes about hemp. While hemp industries are taking shape in other countries around the world, New Zealand refuses to recognize hemp’s potential.
