Phoenix, Arizona has put Hemp in the News this week. Residents of Arizona will potentially be voting on whether or not farmers in their state should be allowed to grow industrial hemp. 
They would essentially be voting to allow the state Department of Agriculture to license the cultivation of hemp. Although hemp is marijuana’s cousin, its THC ,(psychoactive component), amount is less than 1 percent.
Hemp Our World, the organization behind this campaign, needs over 150,000 signatures on their petition by July of 2016, in order to get the measure on the general election vote.
