With Hemp in the News again this week, we take a look back at the mistakes made in returning the crop to the U.S agricultural industry.
With a history that goes back many milleniums, hemp has long been a crop we have looked to for a variety of uses. From rope to sails and materials, the new attempt at farming hemp had an even sunnier future to look forward to. New found uses of hemp made us all dream of a great new tomorrow.
So what went wrong? The passing of the 2018 Farm Bill was meant to clear the way. Unfortunately, the connection between industrial hemp and marijuana still leaves many complications for the crop.
