Hemp in the News

The Virgin Islands Hemp Plan includes land information, testing for THC procedures, disposal of plants that do not meet THC requirements and meeting standard USDA requirements for the crop.

Governor Albert Bryan said, “This is very welcome news for the territory.” The approval will not only help local farmers but also local export manufacturing.

Hemp, the cannabis plant with less than 0.3% THC, is known for its many uses. Part of the program is to process and manufacture hemp products, thereby adding to the islands economy in more ways than just farming.
