Indianapolis put Hemp in the News again with continuing issues regarding the legality of CDB oil.
After Rep. Bill Friend put through a bill legalising CBD oil as a medication for epilepsy in the state, Gov. Eric Holcombe signed the bill into law, but it was the ensuing actions that came as a surprise.
Indiana State Excise Police started raiding retailers saying that it was not legal to own or sell the CBD oil unless certain regulations had been met.
Buyers must be signed up to the cannabinoid registry in order to purchase CBD oil, as hardliners continue to fail to recognise the difference between the two cannabis plants, hemp and marijuana.
A grace period of sixty days has been signed by the Governor to try to sort out the mess.
