A hemp advocacy group puts Hemp in the News at Jefferson City’s second annual Hemp Day. Steven Wilson and Clara Bryant were there to spread the word about the benefits of hemp.
In Wilson’s opinion, Missouri lacks more information about industrial hemp than most other states. He formed the Central Missouri Industrial Hemp Network to raise awareness about hemp legalization and its potential, and created the Captiol’s annual Hemp Day event.
By showing hemp products and providing information, the networks members are making an effort to educate the public and eliminate the stigma attached to industrial hemp. Hemp may stem from the same cannabis family as marijuana, but its seeds are highly nutritious and its fibre can be used to make thousands of products.
