New Zealand’s industrial hemp industry is taking a big leap forward this year, and it has put Hemp in the News this week.
Changes to New Zealand’s hemp laws are forecast to change, to make hemp seed legal for human consumption. This will stimulate new economic opportunities and trade for industrial hemp, and demand for hemp crops will flourish.
Hemp supporters marvel at this “new” and exciting crop, but for the Mid-Canterbury farmers who have been cultivating hemp for the past seventeen years, it’s really no big deal.
