A hemp awareness event at a farm in Berks County, Pennsylvania, put Hemp in the News this week. It was the first of its kind in the state.
Geoff Whaling, chairman of the National Hemp Association, was there to showcase a field of hemp for farmers and investors who might be interested in the crop.
Local farmers and business owners attended the event to see and learn more about this crop that is being revived all across the country.
One of the key speakers was State Senator Judy Schwank. She spoke about the economic benefits that industrial hemp could bring to the state.
