Wearing hemp could conjure up images of old sacks and stiff, uncomfortable clothing, but this is a misconception. Hemp fabric is produced from fibres of the stalk, then spun into threads and woven into fabric.
Cotton has monopolized the fashion world for decades, but it is hard on the environment. Hemp, on the other hand, is a biodegradable fibre and uses a fraction of the water that is used to grow cotton. It also revitalises the soil, and is substantially more eco-friendly than cotton.
