West Virginia is not usually a state that puts Hemp in the News. Its farming industry is mostly comprised of animal husbandry, but hemp could be a game changer.
West Virginia is slowly getting on board with the nationwide hemp revival. Hemp can be used for a multitude of products, and although cannabidiol oil (CBD) is the big monetary return at present, there are many other benefits of the plant.
Although the state had one of the earliest hemp research programs, beginning in 2002, it was sidelined for almost a decade. The 2014 farm bill rekindled the program with the government’s go ahead for hemp research projects.
