In Pueblo, Colorado, a former Boeing manufacturing plant puts Hemp in the News. The plant will be transformed into a hemp oil production site. The Pueblo Economic Development Corp. says that by 2018 there will be 163 employees at the facility.
The city of Pueblo owns the property, which has been predominantly vacant since 2004 when the Boeing plant was closed.
PEDCO’s proposal is awaiting approval from the Pueblo City Council. The proposal will benefit the city, county, state and CBD Biosciences, and is a combined project of Thar Process Inc. and O.penVape.
The new facility will produce hemp products exclusively. No medical or recreational marijuana will be grown there.
