There is Hemp in the News in the U.K with calls from the Food Standards Agency (FSA) for all CBD products to be in line with all U.K. laws.
The CBD industry is booming in Britain, with an amazing fifty percent growth in the last year. The problem is, consumers are unable to differentiate good from bad, due to inadequate labelling. The chief executive of the FSA is looking to change that, by asking all of these products to go through the standard FSA testing and labelling.
March 31 is the deadline for CBD businesses to submit their applications for “novel food” status. Businesses that choose not to apply, will need to remove their products from the market, effective immediately.
