Bast Fibre Technologies is a natural-fibre company with a mission to reduce synthetic products by using Hemp Fibre.
The Victoria-based company has received $8.5 million from investors in support of expanding their manufacturing capacity. The financing will allow for the completion of their manufacturing local in Europe, and the start of full-scale production, in order to meet the growing market demand.
With global concern over single-use plastics and non-biodegradable products such as cleaning wipes, diapers, etc., the company aims to provide sustainable alternatives to these products. Their goal is to establish a far-reaching customer base that will include Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson and Costco.
