Pakistan’s AGI Denim, is teaming up with US hemp manufacturer, Panda Biotech, to explore the use of Hemp Fibre in first-rate denim.
A unique aspect of this collaboration is an innovative tracking feature. The hemp grown at Panda Biotech will be traceable throughout the production process, from manufacturing to finished product, enabling each individual product to be traced directly back to the American farmer. This will provide transparency to the consumer, assuring quality and product integrity.
The two companies are interested in learning more about hemp’s sustainability, and of how hemp fibre will perform in the production of high-quality denim.
Hasan Javed, executive director at AGI Denim, remarked on hemp’s environmental benefits and sees the sustainable future it can bring. “We’re excited to see what innovative new materials will come from this collaboration,” says Javed.
