Last week the Utah Department of Health offered hemp oil extract registration cards for the first time. The cards are a permit for the possession and use of HB105, a hemp oil extract that can treat intractable epilepsy. 
Annette Maughan, president of the Epilepsy Association of Utah, is one of many parents who obtained a hemp oil extract registration card last week. She and her 11-year-old son, Glenn, are looking forward to the health benefits that hemp as medicine promises.
