Two farmers in rural Ireland have been growing Hemp as Medicine and they’re rooting for a resurgence of the crop.
As in so many countries, hemp was once a prominent crop in Ireland. It was used to produce ropes, rigging and sails for ships. Hemp is making a comeback around the world, and two Irish farmers are eager to see a revival in their homeland as well.
Kim Kindersley and Michael Ó Lionsaigh have been growing hemp for the production of CBD oil. The medicinal benefits of CBD have renewed a worldwide interest in hemp. Kindersley and Ó Lionsaigh believe hemp will give a much-needed boost to Ireland’s agricultural industry.
