Thailand has a long tradition with Hemp as Medicine. The first health clinic in Thailand to focus entirely on cannabis has opened its doors in Bangkok this week.
The opening of the clinic reflects the Thai government’s goal of establishing a medicinal cannabis industry. To help launch the clinic, patients can obtain free treatment for the first two weeks of opening. Over two thousand patients have already signed up at the clinic for the next few months.
Cannabis has been a part of traditional medicine in Thailand for years. In 2017, to help increase the country’s agricultural economy, the Thai government legalised marijuana for medicinal use.
