A Bible Hill, Nova Scotia, resident is now sharing her knowledge of Hemp as Medicine with the opening of a medicinal cannabis dispensary.
Shirley Martineau, owner of Auntie’s Health and Wellness Centre, offers her clients a range of medicinal cannabis products, rather than just limited conventional options.
In Martineau’s opinion, people are entitled to have direct access to their medication, and for those receiving medicinal cannabis, that is not the case.
For example, people who legitimately need medical marijuana have no choice but to obtain it illegally, and then there’s the risk of buying an inferior product. But at Auntie’s, people know they’re getting quality because Martineau produces it herself.
The majority of her clients are cancer patients. She also carries medicinal hemp oil, which many clients tell her has helped cure their cancer.
