In Gunter, Texas, a business owner has plans to convert an old cotton gin warehouse into a hemp processing plant, for the purpose of using Hemp as Medicine.
Patrick Moran, CEO of AcquiFlow, met with local residents at the Gunter City Hall to discuss his new business and inform them of his intentions to cultivate hemp in order to extract the CBD (cannabidiol) oil from the plant. The CBD oil will be used as medicine to treat people with severe epilepsy conditions.
Last year, the state of Texas implemented the Texas Compassionate Use Act, which in time will permit patients of intractable epilepsy to use low-THC cannabis as treatment. With Moran’s subsidiary business, Texas Cannabis, he is working towards production of this treatment in accordance with the Texas laws for CBD medicinal use.
