Hemp as Medicine has been the goal of Matt and Catherine Gibson, with their company ‘Plants Over Pills’ based in Fort Collins, Colorado.
The pair are working with CBD made from hemp and are endeavouring to make it more affordable for people with less disposable income. The boom in hemp production has meant an almost over-supply in the market and as such has led to a drop in processing costs.
With the growth in CBD use as medicine, many companies have looked at the surplus of raw materials as a way to increase the amount of money they can make. The Gibsons are taking another course. The way this team is looking at it, is to make it a more everyday medicine that can used by everyone, not just the wealthy.
