The FDA is cautioning consumers against buying CBD hemp oil products. These products are used for the treatment of such diseases as epilepsy and multiple sclerosis.
Makers of cannabidiol (CBD) oil products made from hemp have received letters from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) instructing them to cease making any statements about the medical benefits of their products.
According to the FDA, cannabidiol is a new drug that is not yet approved, claiming that companies are giving potentially false information about their CBD products as Hemp as Medicine. Despite these so-called false claims, CBD hemp oil products have shown tremendous results in the treatment of certain diseases, especially severe epilepsy in children.
