CBDRx, a hemp oil company based in Boulder, Colorado, grew 50,000 lbs of hemp this year, exclusively for the production of Hemp as Medicine, in the form of CBD (cannabidiol) oil.
Until now, hemp has mostly been grown in order to produce fabric and building materials, but in Boulder, Colorado this is no longer the case. This year, most of the harvested hemp will go to companies that use CBD oil in their products, known for its ability to reduce pain and inflammation.
The president of CBDRx says the hemp plants will be used for their medicinal, or “cannaceutical” content, producing oils, tinctures, capsules and nutritional supplements.
