Ernie and Nicole Nuñez are parents of baby girl Amylea, who began having life-threatening seizures shortly after birth. She is now in the neonatal intensive-care unit at the Children’s Hospital in Colorado. The hospital staff are allowing her parents to give her Hemp as Medicine – daily doses of CBD oil.
After several weeks of asking for permission, the neurologists at the hospital agreed to allow the Nuñez’s to give their daughter CBD oil. Because the oil is not FDA-approved, doctors and nurses at the hospital are not able to prescribe or even recommend the oil as treatment.
The parents have permission to give two doses of CBD oil to their daughter each day, but the hospital staff are not allowed to even touch it.
